I can't belive that this puzzle, only with the given ruleset, has a unique solution! But it does ... and I even think it is humanly solvable :)
---------- Rules -------------------------------------------------------------------
Irregular Sudoku Rules apply: Digits from 1 to 9 in each row/column/shape
Starbattle: Two of the digits act like stars: they cannot touch each other (or themselves), even diagonally.
3D-Sandwich: Numbers (or sums) sandwiched between two stars (horizontally, vertically or diagonally!) have to be divisible by the sum of the sandwiching stars.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think you have to be an absolute genius (which I am not) or a masochist (which I am neither), but you can try the puzzle as above (which I call "Level 0") here: Level0 . But beware, it has at least difficutly of 10 out of 5 stars ;)
However, I created some versions of this puzzle which are absolutley solvable (yes, i solved them) and are a lot of fun.
Here is my Favorite: it is "Level 1" and it tells you which two digits act like stars and gives you the position of one star. Difficulty: 5 stars>
Level1
This is "Level 2", it gives you the positions of all stars and tells you which digits act like stars. Difficulty: 4 stars
Level2
This is "Level 3", it gives you the positions of some stars and tells you which digits act like stars. Also some digits are given. Difficulty: 3 stars
Level3
This is "Level 0.5", it tells you something about the sum of the two digits. Difficulty: 6 stars
Level0.5
They of course share the same solution, so tell me in the comments which level you did solve. :)
Here is an example where the digits 1 and 2 act like stars: numbers (and sums) sandwiched horizontally or vertically are divisible by 3. Numbers (and sums) sandwiched diagonally are divisible by 2, 3, or 4, depending on the value of the sandwiching stars.
Solution code: Enter the digits of row 4 (left to right) and col 9 (top to bottom)

I'll give myself at least 30 hours (over however many sessions) to try solve level 0.
After 2.5 hours: Found a valid starbattle map that looks too good not be true. Have a strong suspicion about the star digits.
After another 1 hour: Suspicion confirmed. Onto the meaty part of the puzzle.
EDIT (Osh): Well done!! Hope you are on the right track :)

Very nice concept. I got so scared of Level 0 that I beelined straight for the easiest version of the puzzle, which I mostly regret right now.
Level 3's difficulty is around 2-3/5, hence I will actually attempt Level 1 next. Though hopefully not at 3 a.m. here like I did today.
