Rules:
1) Normal Sudoku Rules Apply. Every row, column, and box must contain the digits 1-9 with no repeats.
2) Standard Arrow Rules Apply. Digits on an arrow must sum to the digit in that arrow's circle. Digits may repeat along an arrow if allowed by other rules.
3) Standard Killer Sudoku Rules Apply. Digits in a cage must sum to the little number in the top left corner of the cage.
4) Standard Diagonal Sudoku Rules Apply. The marked diagonals must each contain all the digits 1-9 with no repeats.
I have got reports that this sudoku is hard, but rewarding. Good luck!

Beautiful interactions in the opening, and a smooth solve afterwards! It actually felt like 4/5 diff for me but it's probably because of the flow :)

Gorgeous construction! Really enjoyed the deductions in the opening sequence.
— Thanks a lot! I’m excited to wake up to a lot of new solves, and recall being hugely impressed with the ruthless speedrun that you did with FTG’s puzzles. My puzzles are probably a bit easier than his, but I’m still impressed with your capasity. Amazing solving so far!
Thank you! :D Solving FTG's puzzles was such a great experience, and also the run I'm most proud of given the number of 5-star puzzles. I noticed you had also solved pretty much all of his puzzles which was cool to see :)
— Indeed, I only lack the Dungeon one, which confused me monumentally at the time, and the empty one, which I heard you unfortunately found to have more than one solution. At least that means that solving all his puzzles now is quite a bit easier, so I guess I’ll have to solve the Dungeon puzzle soon. :-D

The first few steps are nothing short of incredible. Had a really great time with it.

Alright, I said I'd pay my dues with this puzzle, and I'm glad I did, that was absolutely bonkers, way beyond anything I could ever set!
I can't imagine the work that went into [redacted cause possible spoiler]. But even after the extended opening, the way it unfolds is just as beautiful
Next one, Mysterium -- you know you have to :P

Thanks a lot for the solve and the very nice comment! Indeed this might be a good time to finally realize Scriabin's plans of giving the human race a much needed upgrade... :P
I think the puzzle took quite a lot of work, especially considering that I had very little experience with setting back then. I found that the setup with the diagonals and the arrows was very interesting, but it took me a long time to figure out all the consequences and how to use it all in order to make a nice puzzle. I'm happy that you enjoyed it!

Wonderful puzzle thank you! I must say, I'm a little perplexed by the < 90% rating on this one (even if it's just a little bit under haha). I went for a slightly lower difficulty (4 - 4.5) but a very nice puzzle indeed!

Wonderful puzzle! Despite the rating I found it approachable even for not very expert solvers like me (it took me hours though...)
— Thanks for the solve and the comment! Great job! Yeah, I guess the main difficulty is that you really need to study the grid in order to get going.

Thank you for the nice comments! If anybody wonders about the title of the sudoku (Toward the Flame), btw, it is a reference to Scriabin's very special and intense piano piece with the same name. I would recommend Horowitz's performance if anyone wants to check it out!

Wonderful puzzle!! I loved the idea for the opening! The opening was very tricky to spot, but the solve afterward wasn't too hard. (yet definitely not too easy!)
