Even Tents need Odd Trees

(Published on 18. May 2021, 01:25 by Franjo)

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

Additionally the fourteen grey circles mark the positions of trees and you have to put a tent into a cell (orthogonally) next to each of them. Cells with tents may not touch, even diagonally. There may be two tents next to a tree, but only one is fixed to "its" tree.

(Normal rules of Tents and Trees, don't know whether this combination with Sudoku is a new one.)

Cells with trees contain odd digits, cells with tents even ones. The numbers outside the grid show the sum of the digits in cells with tents or trees in the adjacent row or column.

Here's a small 6x6 example:

And here's the puzzle:

Solution code: row 6, followed by column 6

Cool and fun idea for a puzzle! The first half was pretty smooth but in the end, I had to resort to lots of bifurcation steps to make it through the second half, which is honestly quite jarring. It would be helpful to know what I missed at that point.
