Star Battle Sandwich
Inspiration for this type comes from Osh Tirola.
Solve online in F-Puzzles (Thanks to fuxia!)
Apply classic sudoku rules.
Designate in each row, column and 3x3 block two digits as star, where cells with stars can not touch each other, not even diagonally. Clues on the left and above the grid indicate the sum of the two stars in the corresponding row or column. Clues on the right and below the grid indicate the sum of the digits placed between the two stars in the corresponding row or column.
or Penpa+. (Thanks to Henry!)
Solution code: Row 6, followed by column 4.

Placing the stars was no problem - but then - it took long time to find always the next keyhole!

Figuring out the stars was the easy part, everything after was so challenging, but I eventually solved it.
I really like star battles and sandwich sudokus so combining them is super fun!

Took me a while, but no bifurcation and no mistakes so it must have been a clear path through!

This puzzle might contain a step that is harder to spot in variants, but often occurs in classics. For those of you interested, I have written a few lines of the solving process in a hidden comment.
