Compass Fillomino #4: Small Ring

(Published on 30. April 2021, 08:50 by MagnusJosefsson)

This puzzle series is based on a new variation of Fillomino, inspired by the magnificent Compass Sudoku series by stephane.bura as well as many excellent Fillomino variations by Jesper, spxtr, Mark Sweep and others.

I would recommend solving the easier Introduction to Compass Fillomino to get familiar with the ruleset prior to attempting this puzzle.
You may also wish to try Compass Fillomino #2 (harder) or Compass Fillomino #3 (harder and larger).

Rules

Standard Fillomino rules apply: Divide the grid into regions and enter into each cell the size of its region. No two regions of the same size may share an edge.

Compass rules apply: If there is an arrow in a cell, the digit in that cell equals the total number of cells belonging to the region the arrow comes from that are in the direction of the arrow.
Not all arrows are given.

Example:

The arrow in the cell with the digit 4 indicates that the green region must have a total of exactly 4 cells to the right of the red line.

Very nice puzzle, with some original logic! It was definitely easier than the last two, but the ending still gave me some resistance. Can't wait to try #5.

Very nice puzzle again !
Far easier than the #3, even if the pattern feels very familiar around the end when you have to perform some careful count to get things right.
Thanks for this wonderful serie of puzzles.

I broke it at the end once and was so devastated. Thankfully I realized it wasn't the biggest mistake, so still was able to complete. This one is the most troll one so far :P

Quite a different experience from the previous two in my opinion. Here it was clear from the start what was going to happen, it just needed to be worked out, which was a lot of fun again!

Thanks Mark! Yeah, I tried a bit of a different concept here. /Magnus

This puzzle should be a bit easier and more straight forward than the last two compass fillominos, but in my opinion still has some fun and interesting logic.

As always, don't hesitate to post a hidden comment asking me for a hint if you get stuck.

Good luck!
