Even Ring

Normal Sudoku rules apply.
The even digits in all boxes except box 5 form a closed 1-cell wide ring made up of exactly 2 tetromino shapes. 6 of those are L-shapes.
The cells with a gray square contain an even digit.
Digits along a thermometer must strictly increase, with the lowest digit being in the bulb of the thermometer.
Digits in a cage add up to the number in the top left corner of the cage and digits in a cage may not repeat.

very clever puzzle! really fun! (I'm just kinda disappointed that I didn't set this puzzle...I gave up when realized the ring couldn't pass through box 5... so sad...)
