Skewed Squares are hidden in this puzzle!

Normal sudoku rules apply. In addition:

For each digit 1 through 9, the centers of four cells containing that digit are the corners of a square, with exactly one of those four cells shaded blue. (See Example 1 below.)

The areas of the nine squares are all different, ordered from digit 1 having the smallest area, to digit 9 having the greatest area.

The three-digit sum of the areas of all nine squares appears in the completed grid, starting from a blue cell and reading consecutive cells along some horizontal, vertical, or diagonal direction. (See Example 2 below.)

Example 1: Use the pythagorean theorem to find the area of each square. Here, the area is 42 + 22 = 20.


Example 2: If the sum of the areas of all nine squares is 241, it might be found in the finished grid reading right-to-left starting from the R7C7 blue cell.
