Inspiration for this type comes from Old Miles.

Apply classic sudoku rules.
In all cases where in an area of 2x2 exactly three or four digits of the same parity appear, a circle is placed on the intersection of the grid lines of that area. The clues in the circles indicate the sum of all digits with the same parity. Within 2x2 areas digits may repeat. Each question mark can be replaced by any clue.
Solution code: Row 9, followed by column 2.

If there're three digits with the same parity, does the clue always sum up the three, or could it "sum up" the other one (which is strictly speaking also "all digits with the same parity")?

Answer: the first option.
