Coded Skyscrapers Sudoku (Duck & Hippo)
(Published on 12. March 2021, 17:43 by mandourin)
D'oh! Poor Glum Hippo is swarmed by a flock of ducks.
Standard Sudoku rules apply: place a digit from 1 to 9 in every cell so that no digit repeats in a row or a column.
Standard Skyscrapers rules apply: digits represent the heights of buildings and taller buildings hide smaller buildings from outside view; each outside clue is the number of buildings visible in the corresponding direction.
All given clues have been replaced by letters. Same letters represent same digits. Different letters represent different digits. It is part of the puzzle to find the correspondence.

Oh, mandourin, I am thrilled that I finally solved it. I am so bad at skyscrapers and yet I love them so much. And your puzzle is both beautifully themed and fun to solve. Thank you so much, and I'm frankly quite moved by the biographical element.
@glum_hippo: Glad you liked it. It was also very fun to set.
