A Pie for Pi Day

π gets a lot of attention in the maths world, but there is another, who in importance, is it's equal — e. So on this pi day, I share with you a puzzle, which shares the spotlight between these 2 wonderous constants. The circle is formed by the first 12 digits of π, the exponential curve is formed by the first 12 digits of e, and the multiset of 12 digits (including repetitions) on the shaded π is equivalent to multiset of 12 digits in the shaded e.


The Rules:

  • Normal sudoku rules apply: Fill every row, column, and box with the digits 1-9
  • The multiset of digits in the blue 'π' and the green 'e' are identical (accounting for repetitions)
