Solution code: to determine the solUtion code one walks along the red line in the above image. Whenever a cell lies on the inside of the loop and The loop turns* the letter in it is part of the Code.
* Here "turns" means that the cell is adjacent to 3 pieces or 2 non-parallel pieces of the loop.

Maybe it is helpful for solvers to know, that the English and the German version have different images and different "solutions".
And it could also be helpful, if not even necessary, to add the label for "knowledge in German language needed". You don't really have to speak German, but ...

@ bob: You're close to the correct answer, since you have found the decisive point (though your German answer is missing two letters, which changes the meaning slightly).
Your last try was "too detailed". And you should consider that the author is from the German speaking region, where some conventions differ from the English ones.
If the last hint is too much, Jannis, please remove or hide it. But I think the puzzle is much harder without this information.

@bob: You've just made a wrong assumption. The author has written an important hint under your last hidden comment.
Maybe it could be helpful to solve the German version and translate the code to English.

@bob: It is not really a mystery part, IMO. If you carefully read everything, you could find a hint.
Probably you make a wrong assumption.
I hope this is not too much help, but the author gave a more explicit hint in a hidden comment.
And if you think about the meaning of the code, which you've already found, you should get another hint.

@bob: So you still have to "solve" the last part of the puzzle.
