Squares

(Published on 9. March 2021, 07:07 by PjotrV)

This Sudoku is inspired by the Sudoku of Emre Kotoglu.

Today is a square day, 9th of the 3rd month (March). The 9 is square of 3, therefore it is a square day.

Normal Sudoku rules apply. On top of that:
In the pills you can read the numbers from left to right or from top to bottom. Each pill is paired up with another pill by the same color. Same colored pills are square and square root of eachother. For example: 3 and 9 could be pairs, because 9 is the square of 3 (3*3=9) then one of the pills would be 3 and the other would be 9. Same is for 25 is the square of 5 (5*5=25), then the 1-digit pill would be 5 and the 2-digit pill would be 25.

(for the non-colored version, instead of colored pills, there are numbered cages)

Interesting thoughts :)

I wouldn't imagine this to be possible without a "cheat sheet" or anything like.

If you don't have any savant syndrome and can beat this puzzle with logic, without using a cheat sheet, I'm very interested in how you would have done it :)
