Standard sudoku rules applies. Fill the grid with numbers from 1 to 9 so each digit occurs exactly once in every row, column and 3x3 box.
The digit outside the grid means the sum of the biggest and smallest digits in the first x cells, where x is the first digit.
This puzzle is made by Old Miles from China. Crust is the outer layer if a pastry so it fits.(naming is hard) I don't think Old Miles would make other ideas into 9X9. There's a X-even, but I didn't enjoy it.
Also whyMark, Mark Sweep, that is an idea I definitely would ask Old Miles to develop. And why is it so hard. You just have to give me something to torture myself. Old Miles's spin off is giving a headache, And it's 6X6. I kind of regret developing LKegel's idea, because now, every time I see one new idea, it end up seeing at least 5 new ideas and none of them are easy. I guess I doom myself.
Solution code: Row 4 and column 5(18 digits)

Very nice and interesting puzzle! After a easy start, the next step was well-disguised and a bit tricky to find. I liked the variety of ideas in it. Thanks! :-)

Took me over an hour! Definitely a 3 star for me.
Bigger:I can feel my ego boosting now. Hope you didn't get mad or too frustrated during that one hour.
I definitely did! But I get mad at puzzles all the time, if I don't, then probably it's not a good puzzle :)
