Happy birthday, Don!
In January the father of TeX, computer geek as well as puzzle setter Don Knuth turned 83.
Therefore I've dedicated this Sudoku to him and some days ago his lovely answer arrived with his solution path, which I will not publish here for obvious reasons...
Rules:
Normal Sudoku rules apply, i. e. the digits 1 to 9 have to be placed in each row, column and box. Along thermometers digits have to increase from the bulb by at least one in each step. In the standalone grey circle an odd digit has to be placed. Somewhere in the grid, the string 83 is hidden in a row or column.

Zum Schluss muss man noch die 8 (an der einzig möglichen Position für die 83) eintragen, dann ist es auch eindeutig
