Excellent puzzle. Not terribly difficult, more of a 4/4.5 star level.

Bringing parity into the mix works so well. This is a lovely, lovely puzzle. :)

@MatthewDonovan: You're welcome! Thanks for giving it a go, and well-done in working out the tricky and intertwined logic. I'm really pleased you had as much fun solving it (as well as my classical Norinori), as I did setting them :-)

Thank you! This puzzle was brutally difficult, but each step was absolutely beautiful once I found the next bit of logic. 10/10, thank you, SudokuExplorer! :)

@Aspartagcus: I agree it was pretty satisfying to form a coherent ruleset, and then a hopefully interesting puzzle which combines logic from both puzzle types. I really enjoyed Momiji's Norinoris uploaded by cdwg2000 and then forming my own ones, which was the key reason for making this sudoku. I'm pretty much an amateur when it comes to other pencil puzzles, but maybe if I fall in love with the logic in another pencil puzzle type, then maybe I'll create another hybrid puzzle. Good luck in setting your next hybrid puzzle! :-)

@SudokuExplorer: I didn't mean another nori nori sudoku, you can go for some other puzzle types to create hybrids with. I find it very satisfying to set such puzzles, I should make another one. :)

@Aspartagcus:
Thanks a lot for the lovely feedback. I'm really pleased that you enjoyed the solution path which had a few tricky steps, so well done for getting through them :-)
Regarding setting another Norinori killer sudoku, I'm not too sure I'll be able to set one to this standard. However it is likely that I will set another Norinori (I have an idea for an alternative break-in).

This was very hard, but that also meant that you got happier than usual each time you figured out the next step.
Enjoyed it a lot!
Pencil puzzle sudoku hybrids are awesome, hope you'll set some more. :)

Thanks for the kind feedback and for giving it a go! I did remove a few more cage totals after retesting, so I'm really pleased you all enjoyed the logic in this variant. :-)
