K2 - Double the fun
  1. 1) Normal Sudoku rules apply
  2. No digit in the central square can be placed one or two Knight's moves away from itself, with two exceptions:
2.1 Yellow squares are exempt from any Knight's move constraints and can contain any valid digit, per normal Sudoku rules and constraints of this puzzle
2.2 All even digits can ignore the 2nd Knight's move constraint, in "their" box (i.e. When placing a 2, only in box 2, it can ignore the 2nd Knight's move constraint, but is still limited by the normal Knight's move constraint.
  3. The central squares of each box form a magic square (all rows, columns and diagonals add to 15)
  4. The yellow and grey squares form a magic square (all rows, columns and diagonals add to 15)
  5. Digits in thermometers must increase by at least 2 digits, starting at the bulbous end and (i.e. digits cannot be sequential)
  6. Black Kropki dots indicate a ratio of 1:2 in the adjoining cells

In the following examples:
  • red represent cells a 1 cannot occupy by Normal Sudoku rules, because of the 1 in the central box.
  • grey represent cells that a 1 cannot occupy, because they are 1 Knight's move away from the 1 in the central box.
  • green represent cells that a 1 cannot occupy, because they are 2 Knight's moves away from the 1 in the central box (or one additional Knight's move away from a grey cell).
    • The 1s placed in boxes 3 and 6 represent possible valid placements. Note that they are each one or two Knight's moves away from each other, which is fine. They just cannot be one or two Knight's moves away from the 1 in the central box.
