No they are NOT magic squares!

(Published on 24. January 2021, 21:58 by PetLov)

Dominos and / or quadruplets with a dot of the same color must sum up to the same total. Two different colors cannot have the same sum.

The characters in the circles are there to differentiate the colors from each other and serve no other purpose.

Not all dots are given.

Cracking the cryptic

In the comments it is a popular belief that the arrangement of four quadruplets in the same box must be a magic square and impossibly can have any other center digit than 5.

Usually I left the 4 quadruple in a box last for so many combination. Now I have to do it first. Nice

The puzzle looked really scary but I'm glad I stuck through it. The logic is very nice.

*** Thank you brandon_bot :-)
Yes I think too that some people get put off because it looks "scary" as you say. Please try my previous puzzle "Moored oughts" which have few solves because of the same reason I presume. If you liked this one I think you'll enjoy that one as well.

Very nice. Pity the child that can’t see the beauty in numbers.
