Magic Colors

(Published on 24. January 2021, 11:14 by andreasv)

A colored cell may only contain one of three digits, and those digits may not appear in cell of a different color.

White squares may contain any digit.

The upper left, the center, and the bottom right box are all magic squares, i.e. the sum of each column, row and diagonal sum to the same number.

Numbers along an arrow must sum to the number in the arrow's circle.

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

Try it at F-Puzzles.

Solution code: Digits from last row.

Enjoyed the puzzle. It was a simple solve, but I had to think, but not too much.

As with all magic squares - if you know how they're constructed, it's easy. If you don't, well this suddenly becomes a very hard puzzle to solve.

Nice puzzle. Looks like the description here left out the arrow rule (though it's in the box on f-puzzles).

@wilsig I don't think so. Remember that three of the boxes are magic squares, including the bottom right.

There are two solutions for boxes 7,8, and 9.
