Welcome to the little Crab!!
This is a hybrid Killer, and Thermometer sudoku. The rules are as follows:
1. Normal Sudoku Rules apply 2. Digits inside the cages in the grid will sum to the number in the top left corner. Digits may not repeat inside a cage. (note that cages in box 2 and 8 cross each other.) 3. Digits along the thermometer must increase in value with the smallest digit residing in the bulb.
I am somewhat new to setting puzzles, so I would love any feedback anyone has. Thank you in advance for honoring me with your time and puzzling attention!

nice puzzle, it dosen`t look like 1 star difficulty, i think is somewhere bethween 1 and 2 stars. Cheers!

I would have to agree with you. Every time I submit a puzzle I am humbled by how low the difficulty level ends up as people solve it. I also found it to be closer to a 2-star difficulty, but solvers around here are a much higher caliber than I am.

Another small rules clarification. I will improve the visibility of the cage numbers as soon as I get a moment to edit my file this evening. In the meantime, I apologize if it's difficult to read.

That is some killer cages. It hurt my eyes trying to figure out the top left number. A bigger font would help, or you could add f-puzzle or penpa link to make the online version clearer. Btw, it's box 2 and 8 that have crossed cages, not 2 and 7

Added a note about crossing cages as suggested in comments.

Enjoyable quick puzzle. However the cages are a little hard to see, might be worth noting in the rules that the killer cages in boxes 2 and 8 overlap one another.
