Broken X-Sums
(Published on 19. January 2021, 09:09 by Joseph nehme)
This is an average difficulty puzzle that should be quite approachable. I hope you like it. :)
Rules:
- Normal Sudoku rules apply.
- The clues outside the grid represent the sum of either the (X+1) or (X-1) digits along that row or column, Where X is the first number in that row or column. So basically they are X sums clues but instead of X, we have either X-1 or X+1. The solver must deduce which one is true.
Example: If the first digit along the row is 5 (X), the clue outside is the sum of either the first 4 digits (X-1) or the first 6 digits (X+1).

@Mufasa Each clue can either be x+1 or x-1. It's not consistent.

X+1 or X-1 is not consistent throughout the whole puzzle, correct?

Lovely variation on the X-sums rule :-)

This should be a sample question of the rule set, look forward to it.
