Rules:
Normal sudoku rules apply.
Little killer sum rules apply: the numbers along the indicated diagonal must sum to the given total. Digits may repeat along the diagonal.
Palindrome rules apply: lines on the grid read the same in both directions.
Disjoint group rules apply: no two cells in the same position relative to their box (e.g. R1C1 and R4C4) may contain the same digit.
There're 2 hard steps in this, but no long chains/bifurcation is required.
Solution code: Row 7, Column 5

Wow! I'm glad I was patient enough to look for the logical solving path. The interaction of the palindromes with the disjoint group regions was a lot of fun! :-)
@SudokuExplorer
Thank you! I also saw the hidden comment on your latest puzzle (id=0005GU), very interesting stuff :) Reminds me a bit of my thought process behind palindrome placement in Crossroads (id=00056B), if you want another challenge (although you'll see that the idea was A LOT easier to implement, which is why I'm so impressed with your design)
