Thank you for the amazing reception you gave this series :) Every row, column and compass region must contain the digits from 0 to 8. Each region contains one compass, a cell with a frame. If there is an arrow from the compass to a neighboring cell, the digit in that cell equals the total number of cells belonging to the region of that compass that are in the direction of the arrow. For instance, there are 2 cells in the region containing the r2c7 compass to the right of that compass. Enjoy! |

Thank you Stephane! That was really fun and interesting. I've never done a "compass" before, so felt very daunting at first, but then it unravelled and flowed really nicely.

Glad you liked it :)

It seems like the shortlink (git.io) has expired. Does anyone have the original link?

Hi!
I've recreated the online grid and changed the link.

The first compass was great, but this one shows a true mastery of the variant. I cannot comprehend how you were able to achieve such a smooth flow with such a nice variety of logic. Really impressive work.

Wow, a huge improvement after the previous puzzle, which was already quite beautiful. Loved the way you used the 0/1/2 to develop all the tricks in this puzzle. Thanks !

You're welcome :)
You should like the one with the 5s then ;)

Fixed solution code and explanation.

@cdwg2000 your solution looks good, the solution code is just confusing.
It just the digits in col 2,3,9 EXCLUDING ALL GIVEN DIGITS.
Since 0,1,2 are filled in every collumn to start with they won't appear anywhere in the 18 digit solution code.
