Normal Sudoku rules apply.
Cells of the same color need a "connection" between them.
A connection is a series of consecutive digits separated by a knight's move (in chess). Connections are allowed to overlap.
Within each connection, the consecutive digits either increase or decrease, not both.

If you like this puzzle, also check out my Knightsrun Sudoku, which is based on the same theme but is slightly more difficult!
To illustrate the ruleset, here is a 6x6 example:
The solution to this example is shown below. As can be seen, the 1 in the red circle makes knight's moves with increasing consecutive digits to reach the 6 in the red circle. Same for the 2 and 5 in the green circles.
Solution code: Column 4 followed by column 5

Finally got back to this one. It's a fun puzzle, though ruling out a red possibility near the end took a bit of work. I may have missed something on it.

Clever construction with interesting interactions esp. in the middle part. The red line was the most difficult one ... . Also elegant and straight forward ending. I'm glad kafkapharnaum recommended this one to me and I hope it finally will be rated!

Thank you very much for solving one of my puzzles, Wullemuus! :-)

Does "Connections are allowed to overlap" mean that knight's moves may cross, or does it mean the same cell can be part of two connections? i.e. if R3C4 is 6 to connect yellow, could that 6 also be used to connect green?

Hi DiMono, sorry I must have missed your question and I am only noticing it now browsing through some older puzzles of mine. The answer to your question is that the same cell can be part of two connections. Sorry again for the confusion and the late reply!

Added German description using Google translate, so I hope it is somewhat understandable (sorry for any mistakes)

Alright, found the time this morning and this time I did it right haha :D
That was a lot of fun; it's incredible how quickly entire sections become forced, that ruleset is something else -- although I gotta admit, that was superbly constructed to allow even a noob like me to solve it -- in any case, bravo!
