Note:
This is a Harry Potter themed sudoku.
It does not require knowledge of the books or movies to be solved. If you are not interested in the setting of the puzzle in the story, skip to the rules section.
Preface:
The candles flickered as the last light of the day left the kitchen. Only seconds ago had the house elves finished cleaning up the remnants of the last meal they will have prepared for a while. A couple feet above them students, teachers, parents, family and friends, victors of the war left for the night, awaiting an early departure in the morning. The ones who lived, who spent the day tending to those who didn’t and to the hundreds who have suffered injuries and pain, but also with celebrating in relief of the fear that was no more. It was early May and the current school year was ceased prematurely, allowing everyone to spend more time with their loved ones before eventually September came around once more.
The castle was soon in complete silence and eerily his steps echoed through the corridors, as Kreacher made his way up towards the Great Hall. He was already done with his tasks for the day but wanted to take another look at the castle and all the cleaning and rebuilding work that lay ahead. Nearing the stairs to the entrance hall, the damage that had been done to the castle the prior night became apparent. Bright moonlight flooding through cracks and holes in the castle walls lit up the Grand Staircase, one side of the banister scattered in pieces all across the floor, some of them still covered in blood. Even some of the tall suits of armour that were defending the school seemed to bleed out a thick dark blue liquid. Except, under closer inspection, there was no liquid. There wasn’t even blood. The floor was rather covered in hundreds of small rubies and sapphires, as well as emeralds and diamonds, that used to fill the giant house point hourglasses which had been hit by stray killing curses and burst into pieces. With noone else around Kreacher considered repairing the hourglasses right there and then, but without help it would take him hours. Can you help Kreacher rebuild the hourglasses and crown a house cup champion before the castle wakes back up?
Rules:
Normal Sudoku rules apply.
There are four hourglasses which each consist of two killer cages of the same color, that must first be constructed. Each of the eight killer cages includes exactly one cell from the center box and sums to ten times the value of that cell. Killer cages with a sum of less than 45 include digits only once and killer cages with a sum greater than 45 include each digit at least once and no digit more than twice. Fitting the theme, the center box is also a magic square. This means that each row, column and main diagonal of the center box sums to the same value.
Additionally, there are black and white dots in the grid, which do NOT represent difference or ratio clues.
White dots indicate that the two connected cells belong to the same killer cage.
Black dots indicate that the two connected cells belong to different killer cages.
The grey circles do NOT necessarily represent odd digits. The cells including a grey dot are the digits of each house's house point totals. After completing the sudoku part of the puzzle, you can then find out which house won the 1998 hogwarts house cup by combining the digits of the same colour in increasing order.
If you are not familiar with the Harry Potter universe and struggle with the names of the houses, the colours of this text might give you a hint on how to enter the solution code.

Philipp--Thank you for this fantastic puzzle. The rule set was very enjoyable. The next step was always visible, but the puzzle remained difficult til the end.
