Also, Digits are represented by the number of dashes they would have on a digital clock. i.e. 1 = 2, 2 = 5, 3 = 5 etc. The numbers 6 and 9 each have 5 dashes (so they exclude the dash at the top of the 6 and bottom of the 9).
The total number of dashes of the digits in cages (dotted lines) either sum to the top left number (if there is one) or to the cell connected by a dot.

I recommend that you disable "highlight conflicts" in settings, as the killer cages don't work the traditional way
