@Djmelee3000 I 100% approve of the name and definitely got your meaning when I read it.
Now if you ask me what movie this reminds me of I would have to say: F4rgo.

@cdwg2000
The name is supposed to be a play on “Read Between The Lines” and just sounded good lol.

The name of the puzzle is defined as the limitation of Killer between the lines Sudoku. It might be better to name it Killer between the cages Sudoku.

clarified example
on 29. September 2020, 06:04 by Djmelee3000
@Noggin and Strosahl
Yes, thanks Strosahl for clarifying. The example shows one possible arrangement for the 20 cage, so I'll update that.
on 29. September 2020, 05:56 by Strosahl
@Noggin If the ends are 2 and 8, then no, you couldn't have 1 or 9 in the middle. You also couldn't have a 5, because it would need another 5 to make a total of 20 (with 2,5, and 8). You could have 3,7 or 4,6 in the middle though. And you could have 1 & 9 as the ends as well.
on 29. September 2020, 05:50 by Noggin
Just so it's clear to me could I ask that in your example are the numbers 1 and 9 the only ones exempt from being in that cage?
TIA

@cdwg2000
Yeah I’ve seen Undar Beyond’s puzzles where he made that, but I wanted something new instead. I hope you like it if you try it out!

I haven’t started to do the problems, but you can consider using Killer Cage Sandwich Sudoku. Some authors used this idea to design puzzles before.
