It is a nice puzzle. I just would suggest to mention more clearly the negative restraint. I guess the any word makes it understandable. Thank you:)

Sorry, first puzzle, didn't see the basic sudoku tag. Apologies on the solution code, was just going off the help page which said you didn't want one that can be found halfway through. I've updated it now.

Nice puzzle. Solution code is unnecessarily irritating though. Better off just choosing one or two rows/columns.
