Each row, column, region and drawn diagonal contains the digits from 1 to 9. The numbers around the grid are sandwich clues. On the left and at the top, as well as in the top corners, are the sums of the odd digits between the 2 and the 8 in this line. Excellent puzzle! Very different logic from normal sandwich sudokus, interesting. After a tricky start, it did get quite easy the second half, but perhaps that is unavoidable without having multiple solutions?

Stéphane: Thanks :) I could have removed some clues but I tend to make new types of puzzles easier, so that the focus is on the new ways of thinking.
Also, I didn't want to overwhelm the solvers with possibilities, as the first few digits involve complex tracking of combinations.
Magnus: I see, that makes sense. Well, I definitely look forward to a possible harder puzzle using the same concept should you have the inclination to make one :).

Thanks again for an other nice puzzle. After all not too hard ... it just took a bit of time to understand the concept and all the possibilities (more than expected) ... once I cleared my head, it solved smoothly.
