Killer Sudoku
Place the digits from 1 to 9 in every row, column and 3x3-block. The small numbers in the dotted outlined areas are the sum of the digits in that area. Within a dotted outlined area all digits must be different.
The author of the puzzle is my friend 邱言哲(Qiu Yan Zhe) from China.I hope you like it and would appreciate any form of feedback.

@glum_hippo: Ich fürchte, da ist dir irgendwo unterwegs ein Fehler unterlaufen. Als kleiner Tipp: Die erste von dir genannte Kombination klappt in den beiden Käfig wegen der Gegebenheiten nicht. Daraus lässt sich etwas interessantes schlussfolgern.

It's a puzzle made in 2012, using the min-max structure which was not popular then. It used to be just an illustrative puzzle haha..

I could place at the most 7 digits throughout the puzzle and I'm sitting on it for more than an hour. DO request your friend to make some easy puzzles next time.

Your friend sure makes some hard puzzles! I think I only managed to solve one of them! This one seems to be out of my league again, even after placing six digits quite fast...
Thank you very much cdwg2000! That's a real eye-opener! Certainly somthing to remember, as it looks like something that's quite useful in other puzzles. I'll surely give this one another try this evening.
