All standard thermo sudoku rules apply, those being: Fill each row, column, and region with the numbers 1 to 9. Numbers on thermometers strictly increase from the bulb to the tip
Additionally, adjacent numbers on the same thermometer cannot have a difference greater than 2. No two cells that are shaded green can contain the same digit if they are a knights move or a kings move apart.
I am not sure if this is 4 or 5 stars, as the opening is very difficult to find, but the puzzle becomes easier once you find it.
This is (in my opinion) my best puzzle yet so I hope you will enjoy it.

Took my hours to find the pattern, and then still had to bifurcate between the two paths (which is thankfully quick).

This is a really clever construction! I would agree, your best puzzle so far (at least, among those that I have solved).

Excellent puzzle! Had me head scratching for a long time but once I found my way in it solves very nicely.
