Mini Killer Twins (6x6 Sudoku)
(Published on 28. July 2020, 02:07 by SudokuExplorer)
This 6x6 sudoku is very much inspired by tzael's
Killer Twins sudoku, and should serve as a short coffee break puzzle or teatime teaser.
It also may provide ideas to solve my earlier
Tribute Puzzle.
Normal sudoku rules apply (Each row, column and region contains each of the numbers from 1 to 6).
Rules about Normal Killer Cages:
In a normal killer cage, no digit repeats within the cage.
Its cage sum is the total of all the digits in the cage (written at the top of the cage).
In this sudoku, the two blue cages with cage sums 7 and 9 are normal killer cages.
Rules about Killer Twin Cages:
In a killer twin cage, each digit appears exactly twice within the cage.
Its cage sum is the total of all the digits in the cage (written at the top of the cage).
In this sudoku, the two large cages with cage sums 18 and 20 are killer twin cages.
You can try it on
Penpa-Edit. Have fun solving!
Solution code: Enter the 2nd and 4th rows (left to right). Eg 123456123456

@washyleopard I'm glad you enjoyed it. You can make it even harder by forgetting about the two blue killer cages for as long as you can.
Next Tuesday the 6x6 puzzle will contain more interesting logic, so I hope you'll enjoy that one as well.

Very nice puzzle for the size. I have to admit I forgot it was only digits 1-6 for the first minute which made it more interesting haha.

@Xavien I'm pleased you had an enjoyable experience. :-)
Next week there will be another one but with unknown cage sums.
