Oh no! Ellie the elephant has charged into the finished puzzle and smashed most of the numbers and regions out. Looks like you'll have to help her piece it back together.
Each row, column, and 6 cell region contains the numbers 1-6 once each. (A region must be 6 cells large.) Regions, like numbers, have to be deduced, and some of these boundaries are already marked in the grid. It's worth mentioning that if two adjacent cells are part of the same region, there cannot be a black line between them.
Digits along each grey line are palindromes - they read the same when read from either direction.
A region cannot be a straight horizontal or vertical strip, stretching end to end. Such a region wouldn't give any new information.
Enjoy! I guess I call this a Shattered Palindrome Sudoku.
Solution code: The digits read across Row 2, followed by the number of vertical black boundary lines across Row 2, in a 7 digit string.

Thank you for the explanation, Realshaggy! That makes a lot of sense now.

There was a someone who had multiple accounts for whatever reason. He got caught and the accounts were deleted (see forum). So the puzzle got below the 10 voters threshold again, but the rating wasn't updated immediately. It was updated now when the next vote came in.

I really liked this puzzle! Thanks a lot for sharing it, hamslice!
There is just something about the rating system that puzzles me. Before I solved the puzzle, it had a difficulty and a quality rating, but after I solved and rated it, the rating suddenly vanished. Does anybody know where this could come from?

Vorgegeben als 'sehr leicht' :-(. Jetzt wundert's mich nicht mehr, dass ich nicht weiterkomme.

Wonderful logic and fun concept! More of a three star difficult puzzle. Challenging but rewarding :-)

Added the 'adjacent cells' sentence to clarify what constitutes a region.
