Parity Little Killer Sudoku

(Published on 16. July 2020, 23:04 by Aspartagcus)

This is my first, and hopefully not last, puzzle. :)
It's a (new?) variant on the little killer sudoku type.

RULES:
- Classic sudoku rules apply.
- Additionally, the numbers outside the grid indicate the sum of either the odd or the even digits in the diagonal in the direction of the arrow.
- Digits are allowed to be repeated along these diagonals.

Here is a 4x4 sudoku example:

(Penpa link)

Now for the real puzzle. One of the numbers has been explicitly indicated that it refers to the even sum.

Let me know in the comments what you thought of it, or if you have any questions or tips on the puzzle.
Hope you enjoy solving it!

Solution code: Row 2 and 3 in succession, without any spaces or commas.

@glum_hippo: Thanks. :) Yes, it's a very simple constraint, but leads to quite some interesting setting possibilities. I'm working on another one at the moment.

I hope that not too many gave up because of this issue. I will let someone else test the next one before I post it. :P

Well the idea is terrific, and I do intend to try again.

Solved without the new clue (and with quite a bit of try and error), also don't see how that 0 clue would be immediately helpful.

It has come to my attention that there is an alternative set of digits in a diagonal that is possible, that I did not think of before, which makes the solution a lot harder to find.
Therefore, I have added another clue, which doesn't make the puzzle that much easier (it's actually still harder than I originally planned), but still lets you follow the solution path I've intended.
I added a 0 clue on the left side of the grid.
