Blacken some of the cells and place the digits 2, 3, 5, 8 in the remaining cells such that no number appears more than twice in any row or column. One or more adjacent number cells in a straight line form a group, i.e. groups are bounded by black cells and the border of the grid. The hints outside the grid give for each group of that row or column the sum of the digits and the hint order corresponds to the order of the groups.
Cells that are a chess knight's move apart cannot contain the same digit.
A dot can be replaced by any digit between 0 and 9 as long as two-digit numbers do not start with 0.

Polished the description of Japanese sums to make it newcomer friendly, even though the logical solution path of this particular puzzle appears to be not newcomer friendly at all.

@Dandelo In this puzzle, "1." is not 10, but the formulation was an accident. I have corrected the dot replacement rule to the standard rule, thanks.

This means 1. can't be 10?
