Additionally, no digit appears in the same region as a multiple of itself, excluding 1 (e.g. if 2 is in a region, 4 and 8 cannot be in the same region).
For an abstract solution path, remove the 8 given in r9c1. This would be more difficult.
Solution code: Column 3 then Column 8 (top to bottom) with no spaces or other characters in between the numbers.

I had a lot of fun with this! It was my first time doing a sudoku variant, and I'm not proud to say my logic was very rusty at first, but once I caught my mistake, the pieces came together nicely. Very satisfying.
