XY-Differences Sudoku

(Published on 18. June 2020, 14:34 by glum_hippo)

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

For some cells, the parity is prescribed: U = odd, G = even (German-language abbreviations)

If there's a ‹› between two horizontally adjacent cells, then the absolute value of their difference is the same as the first digit in that row.

If there's a (rotated) ‹› between two vertically adjacent cells, then the absolute value of their difference is the same as the first digit in that column. See example.

If no symbol is given, then the difference does not correspond to the first cell.

And here is the puzzle (also on Penpa):

Solution code: The 5th and 8th row (18 digits total)

And yet another marvelous idea on my list for SVS. This is really a great concept. Thanks a lot for a very enjoyable puzzle!
@Richard thanks, it's a fun constraint to work on. I'd expect that a symmetrical pattern of givens (both of parities AND ‹› clues) would make a good challenge for you ;-). Here I just went for something er... dynamic looking.
