This puzzle is my first published puzzle. I have made a number of sudoku variants in the last six weeks which I hope to get some feed back on.
Solution code: Enter the 10 odd numbers in the triangle shaped region followed immediately by the 9 even digits in square region, with no spaces or symbols in between. For example: If the triangle region is: 1 35 791 3579 and the square is: 246 824 682 Then the code is: 135791357924682468

I have spend some time on the printer friendly version, and was wondering if:
a) I misinterpreted the rules or
b) at least one symbol outside the grid was missing.
Looking again at the coloured version, it turned out to be b).
Hence: can you update the printer friendly version? :-)
Just updated it.

@RockyRoer here are some links for setting puzzles - https://rjrudman.github.io/penpa-edit/ - https://www.f-puzzles.com/ - they are both easy to do cages and thermos and everything

@RockyRoer: If you're familiar with Postscript, you can download and modify the EPS template file at:
http://wiki.logic-masters.de/index.php?title=Datei:Killersudoku-A.eps
(I haven't used it myself; I write my own EPS files for my puzzles.)
You can reply to a normal comment by just writing a new comment; it's common to begin such a reply with "@Nylimb" or whatever name is appropriate. If you want to reply to a hidden comment without everyone being able to see your reply, then editing the comment is the only way that I know of. That way the person who wrote the comment can see the reply, as can anyone who has solved the puzzle, but other people who haven't solved the puzzle can't.

This was a fun puzzle.
One suggestion for future puzzles: Some of the colors, like the blue and purple, are hard to distinguish on my printout of the puzzle. Adding dotted lines around the cages would make them clearer.
Reply: I know that is a difficulty, and I want to make it look like normal 'killer sudoku cages' but I don't know how to do that easily. Is there a tool people use to create look? A website perhaps?
Also, is there a way to reply to a comment without 'editting' it? This seems awkward and I think i'm missing something.

Updated: New picture after mistake was found and clarified instructions about outside clues.

The outside square in row 7 should be a triangle as well, doesn't it? If R7/C1 is a single triangle cell, the outside hint has to be a triangle as well.
Reply:
No, actually. The outside clues look at the first number in that row (x) and adds up the first x numbers and if THAT total is a triangular or square number, the symbol is shown. In the C2R1 case, the first number x is triangular, and the sum of the first x items is square. I will try to clarify the instructions.

Maybe there is a mistake in the grid.
In R2C1 there should be a triangle.
Reply: Yep -- you're right. I'll update.
I have a solution with a 3x3 square with even numbers and a triangle region: The solution code read from left to right, top to bottom reads: ########## #########. But this code is not accepted. Please check!
Reply:
Sorry, this code is not actually correct. The triangular region should have some 9's. I also meant no space in between. I’ll clarify that and repost soon. Thanks!
