Entangled-2-Way-Sudoku
(Published on 11. May 2020, 18:07 by Rawcoder)
This is an Entangled-2-Way-Sudoku. This means, you have to solve the puzzle in two different ways in order to get the solution code, but more important, one puzzle can't be solved alone since they are entangled.
Rules:
General rules:
Classic Sudoku rules apply. The cages formed by dotted lines are killer cages. These cages sum to the total indicated, digits may not repeat in Cages.
Rules for the first puzzle:
The first puzzle is a MinMax-X-Sudoku. Clues outside the grid indicate the sum of the lowest and highest digit of the corresponding first three adjacent cells. Additionally, the two main diagonals contain the Digits 1 to 9 exactly once.
Rules for the second puzzle:
The second puzzle is an Antiking-Sandwich-Sudoku. Now the clues outside the grid are sandwich clues and indicate the sum of the digits sandwiched between the 1 and the 9. Additionally, cells that are a kings move (in chess) apart cannot contain the same digit.
For the entangled part:
Cells marked with an orange circle contain in both puzzles the exact same digits in the exact same cells. For example: If r1c1 is a 2 in the MinMax-X-Sudoku then r1c1 in the Antiking-Sandwich-Sudoku is 2 as well, and vice versa. Cells marked by orange circles can contain a digit more than once. The do not have to be different.
As far as I know, this mechanic (entangled Sudoku) is new and I think it will take you quite some time to solve both. Therefor I rate this Sudoku with 5 stars. If there are Sudoku out there with this kind of mechanic, please let me know.
Have fun!
Solution code: Row 5 from the MinMax solve followed by row 5 from the sandwich solve (both read left to rigth).

Sehr hübsch und nicht schwierig.

That was amazing! Everything worked so nicely between the two puzzles, the teleportations, the clues, the jumping from one to other to get the solution. Loved it.
