DocLogic's 4x6x6 Kombi Experiment Nr. 1

(Published on 3. May 2020, 21:33 by DocLogic)

I try an experiment, let’s see if it works and if you like it. Here are 4 puzzles to solve: a Snail, a Fillomino, a Skyscraper and a Futoshiki.

One of the puzzles can be solved without the help of the others. In every puzzle are 2 colored fields. In fields with the same color are the same numbers.

Standard rules apply (so don't read on if you know them).

Snail: From outside to inside (starting on the top left) the numbers 1, 2 and 3 have to be placed in some fields of the grid in this order, repeating this order several times. The first number ist he 1, the last number (somewhere in the middle oft he snail) is the 3. In every row and every column every number appears exactly once, so there are several empty fields.

Fillomino: Divide all of the board into blocks. Fill each block with the same number. Each block contains as many cells as the number in the block. Same sized blocks cannot touch each other horizontally or vertically.

Skyscrapers: The goal is to place a skyscraper in each square, with a height between 1 and 6, so that no two skyscrapers in a row or column have the same number of floors. The clues along the four sides of the grid tell you how many different skyscrapers can be seen from there in the corresponding row or column.

Futoshiki: The aim of Futoshiki is to place the numbers 1 to 6 into each row and column of the puzzle so that no number is repeated in a row or column and so that all of the inequality signs („smaller than“ and „larger than“) are obeyed.

Solution code: the 3rd row of each puzzle (for empty fields use X), from left to right, top puzzles, then bottom puzzles

I think this is the hardest puzzle (for me) out of all the Kombi Puzzles.

I dont think that is necessary. Almost all puzzles in the portal are solvable by logic that humans solvers are able to find. And for the few exceptions it is most often mentioned in the puzzle text. If the puzzle also has enough solvers to get a rating, I don't think it would be above 80% if there is only a path that requires bifurcation.

It should exist a tag "resolvable with logic only". I've spend most time to try different possibilities, thinking it was not plaisant and hard. Then I decided to start again from beginning and to read comments, and thanks to ManuH's comment I tried with logic only and it is a really good puzzle.
