Arithmetic Progression Little Killer Sudoku

(Published on 17. April 2020, 02:38 by ProwlingTiger)

Usual sudoku rules apply. Like most little killer sudokus, the digits in a diagonal designated by an arrow add up to the value of that arrow. However, in this puzzle, not all arrows have given values. On each side of the grid, each group of the arrows' values form an arithmetic sequence. For example, the arrows on the bottom could be {25, 14, 3} whilst the arrows on the left could be {14, 13, 12}. Digits along a diagonal may repeat.

Solution code: 9th row, where digits are not separated by anything. For example, 123456789.

@ProwlingTiger make sure you understand the difference between ‘hard’ and ‘requiring T&E’. There is nothing wrong with hard puzzles with a fully logical solve path, but T&E makes the puzzle more frustrating (as well as harder).

I had a lot uf fun, finding the sums of the arrows. For your first Sudoku here, an amazing construction.

Again, thanks for all the feedback! In my next sudoku, I made the normal sudoku much less painful.

The first half of the solve was fantastic with nice logic in the sequences. The second half was one long series of T&E, which is a pity...

@Circleconstant314 : of course they are NOT, why should they be? Just necessary to respect the sequence constraint nothing else that is enough to solve it

@ProwlingTiger : why such a difficult end after the little killer breakthrough.... wasn't it possible to give more hints to finish it in a easier way?

Changed the title of this sudoku, because I didn't understand what "name" meant. ;)
