I constructed yet another cageless (X) killer sudoku. I think it is a little bit easier than the last two, but still not too easy.
In addition, I have a little question: When the puzzle was featured by Cracking the Cryptic on YouTube two weeks ago, a comment suggested to call this variant "index killer sudoku". What do you think?
Rules:
Standard sudoku rules apply. In addition, cells are grouped in 'cages'. A 'cage' is a group of orthogonally adjacent cells. Numbers must not repeat in a cage. Cages must not overlap.
The clues outside the grid in the form of m(n) indicate, that the x-th cell of the row/column is part of a cage with the sum of m, consisting of n cells. X is the first number in the row/column. In the example below, the clue 7(2) indicates that the x-th cell (in this case: the 2nd cell) is part of a cage adding up to 7, consisting of 2 cells.
Have fun!
Solution code: Row 7, column 5

You've chosen the name, the name isn't bad, so keep it. If the type becomes popular and another name is established, you might switch to this name. But I suggest to keep it and maybe add a label or several labels later, if other names become more popular.

I like the name cageless - maybe hidden cage - the suggested name blinder index unnecessary complicated.
thanks for the nice puzzles by the way.

@Circleconstant314: I'd forgotten about that meaning of "X". Please ignore that part of my earlier comment.

Well, if "X" is used to signify that each diagonal contains a non-repeating set of digits, then the X is usually placed at the end, i.e. Sudoku X. In lieu of X-Sums, perhaps the prefix could be X-Placement?

I like the proposed name. The current name isn't quite accurate, since it's not really cageless; the cages are just hidden. And "X" is often used to mean that each diagonal has every digit from 1 to 9, which isn't true here.
Anyway, great puzzle!
