Was trying out some ideas this weekend, which lead to the creation of this puzzle.
Hope you'll enjoy it!
Just to make sure: the X is the added value of the numbers in cells H9 and I8, and the 3X in red means the sum of the digits along the diagonal from I1 to A9 equals 3 times the value of X... Michiel
Solution code: Row 3 followed by the diagonal from I1 to A9

Added a line to explain that X is not the value of cell I9, but the value of I8 + H9

Ich bin immer wieder erstaunt, wie so ein Rätsel eindeutig wird. Und das als Neulingswerk, Hochachtung!

Doh... Can’t believe I didn’t understand that immediately! Thanks for the tip. I’ll remember to be less ambivalent in the future!

@SirWoezel there is nothing wrong with using the variable X. You should just clarify that X is the sum of the two cells adjacent to the bottom right corner, not the number in the bottom right.

Hmm, sorry about that. I am completely new to this. I only started creating sudokus last month. So what do you suggest I use in similar cases in the future? Will any other variable except X do?

I also fell in the same trap as ch1983!

@ch1983 : i write it not in a hidden comment because you are absolutely right, remember everyone that X has to be a SUM not the I9 cell number !!
