Prime X-Sudoku

(Published on 24. March 2020, 12:44 by SirWoezel)

In this puzzle, normal Sudoku-rules apply. The numbers 1 to 9 also appear on both diagonals.

Apart from that all the coloured areas add up to a prime numer and do not contain the same digit more than once.

The five 'boxed' cells (C2, C6, C8, D4, F6) are not primes.

Of the four short diagonals (a, b, c and d) only one adds up to a prime.

Have fun,

Michiel

A bit confusing, but really nice solving path.

It couldn't be a coloured region, because it contains 9 digits... ;-)
So single white cells can also contain prime or non prime digits.

Hi Geronimo. No, I did not intent that to be a ‘coloured’ region.

Just a question please : the white area on the left has to be a non repeated digit region too?

Thanks. I later realized the single cells had to be regions on their own, but was still unsure about the red ones.

Hi Joe, sorry this is not clear. Cells that have the same colour AND touch orthogonally belong to the same region. So c8, d7, d8, e8 and f8 form a region and c4, c5 and c6 form another region. And -for example- e7 is a region all by itself.

I'm having Troubles identifying which cells are supposed to belong to the same Region. For example, to which Region does C7 belong to? Or E5 and E 7? Is it one or two red areas?
