Logic Masters Deutschland e.V.

On the small marketplace of the village Flunkerhausen ("cheaty city") a reporter asks questions to residents. He knows that 2 out of 3 statements of every resident are true, and 1 statement is a lie! You have to filter the lies step by step, then use the true statements (and the opposite of the lies) to solve the puzzle. You will find out the first and last name, the address and the age of 5 residents.

Anton says: „My last name is not Kubiz. Peter lives in Maiweg 18. The resident Bader is 3 years older than the resident of Nordstraße 12.“

Gerald says: „I am 45 years old. Anton is 3 years younger than Mr. Tappert. The last name of the Pappelallee 7 resident is one letter longer than the last name of the 37-year old resident.“

Lukas says: „My house number is by 4 higher than the house number of the 42-year old resident. The resident of Maiweg 18 is 4 years older than Niklas. Anton is 34 years old.“

Niklas says: „Gerald's last name is Bader. The resident of Pappelallee 7 is not 48 years old. Mr. Haberl is not 38 years old.“

Peter says: „I am not 3 years older than Mr. Kubiz. The first name of Mr. Haberl is not Lukas. Mr. Tappert doesn't live in Drosselweg 3.“

Viktor says: „I am not exactly 42 years old. Mr. Tappert lives in Maiweg 18. The house number of the 45-year old resident is higher than the house number of Mr. Rintler.“

Another resident says: „The residents of Flunkerhausen always tell the truth. The resident of Drosselweg 3 is older than Gerald. The house number of the 48-year old resident is by 4 higher than the house number of Mr. Haberl.“
