Apply classic sudoku rules. A digit placed in a shaded cell must be strictly greater than digits placed in adjacent unshaded cells.
I designed this fortress for the individual final of 2019 China Undergraduate Sudoku Championship on 28th December. The rule of this round was that each of the top 4 players chose one from 8 given sudoku types and banned another one then finished the 4 chosen types. Unfortunately, they thought the fortress would be super hard and refused to try it...So I agreed them to post it here and hope they can feel my kindness from the smiling face I drew :)

It's ok now. If you leave the English version empty, it is replaced by the German version automatically, but not vice versa.
