Snow flurry in Gleimhausen
Joe Limgans and two of his best friends shall fill in for the postman of the small town Gleimhausen, who has a severe flu. The three friends have to distribute the Christmas mail punctually before Christmas in the 15 districts of the town. The central post office ist right in the middle of the decorated and snowy Gleimhausen. The three postmen have divided the quarters among them, so each quarter is visited by exactly one of them.
In each row, column and quarter the snow clearing service has left two high snow hills. These do not touch each other, not even diagonally.
Each of the three postmen has his own route starting at the outer edge of one of the nine cells of the central post and ending at another of these edges. The three routes do not cross each other or themselves. Of course the routes do not go through the central post and not through a snow hill. The postman surely to not want to get wet feet. All the other cells are visited by the postmen. Each quarter is entered and left only once.
Unfortunately the exact plan of the postmen has been lost and the positions of the snow hills are unknown as well. But with all these conditions in mind the three friends surely will have no trouble to deliver all the letters and parcels, right?
Solution code: For each of the first 5 rows and the last 5 rows the number of cells between the snow hills and thereafter for each of the first 5 rows and the last 5 rows the number of horizontal route segments.
