Wichtel 2016 (2): Erfahrener Höhlenforscher gesucht

(Published on 20. April 2017, 11:02 by wichtel)

To Christmas 2016 some eager puzzlefriends have again arranged a group in which everybody had to make anonymously a puzzle for someone else. These puzzles are now presented one after the other here in the portal.

Experienced cave explorer wanted

Dear tuace,

I want to ask you for help in a very strange matter. I think the best is to tell you the story right from the very beginning.

Last weekend I wandered with some friends through the Eifel. We had just agreed to have a break and to eat some of the delicious little somethings we took away from a nice Spanish restaurant the evening before. At that moment we reached a strange rock formation: You could enter it, but each path led into a dead end. At some places signs had been scratched into the walls.

Of course I immediately had the idea, this might be a puzzle. And I remembered two of your puzzles, I had discovered not too long ago in the portal. Excited as I was, I tried to explain this idea to my friends, but they were more interested in having lunch. So without further ado I decided, to draw eberything as good as possible and to consult you as an expert.

In case of you having some time in spite of Christmas, can yuo take a look at it? I'm curious, if you can help any further. Anyway I wish you a fine Christmas feast!

@bob: It's certainly helpful to look through the puzzles that the dedicatee published on the portal before Christmas 2016.

Puzzles like this are probably hard to categorize well. It shows up top on the list of "average difficulty--nice" but without some hint on the rules I find it unsolvable/very hard, even after hours of trying different combinations of tapa and cave rules. Maybe I need to be more familiar with the author or dedicatee to understand.
