Sudoku Variants Series (174) - Japanese Even-Odd Sudoku

(Published on 28. March 2017, 00:00 by Richard)

For this Sudoku Variants Project I have planned to publish a different Sudoku variant every Tuesday. I will see how long it takes before I am running out of ideas.

Japanese Even-Odd Sudoku
Place the digits from 1 tot 9 in every row, column and 3x3-block. The clues outside the grid indicate the length of digit groups in that row or column in the given order. Clues on top refer to groups of odd digits. These groups are seperated by at least one even digit. Clues on the left refer to groups of even digit, that are seperated by at least one odd digit.
