Sudoku Variants Series (153) - Diagonal NonConsecutive Sudoku

(Published on 1. November 2016, 00:00 by Richard)

For this Sudoku Variants Project I have planned to publish a different Sudoku variant every Tuesday. I will see how long it takes before I am running out of ideas.

Diagonal NonConsecutive Sudoku
Place the digits from 1 to 9 in every row, column and 3x3-block. Two cells that touch each other diagonally can not contain consecutive digits.

Solve online in F-Puzzles (thx bbutrosghali!)

Solution code: Row 6, followed by column 1.

@Sunhokim8: thanks! Diagnonally Non Consecutive is a sudoku variant that exists already for a longer time, but you don't see it that often.

I finally solved this within 6 tries. This sudoku is one of the best! I wonder if this is actually your own idea. The idea itself is not really that creative at it seems, but when you try to solve it, you will finish with an astonishment.
