24h-Überbleibsel: Kompass (3)
(Published on 23. April 2016, 11:00 by berni)
Split the grid into connected regions, each containing a clue. The top number in a clue gives the number of cells in that region above that clue. What that means is explained in the following graphics.
First a definition of a
row: Start at one edge at the outside of the grid. Traverse the adjacent
square
to the parallel edge on the opposite side. Continue this process until you reach another outside edge. In the diagram to the right, one of the ten rows is shaded.
Now the definition of
above: First, follow the row in the given direction from the clue to the edge of the diagram and mark all cells, that you traverse (black line). Cells, that are in rows, that cross at least one of the marked cells, count as above (grey lines).
Solution code: First the number of cells of the region of the 8-1-clue, then of the 1-1-2-3-clue and last of the 3-2-0-0-clue.
